DISCOVER THE INTERVIEW OF MYRIAM, OBJECTWARE PMO

“Expect a lot of twists and turns”, Myriam, Objectware employee, tells us about her daily life as a PMO.

Introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Myriam, 32 years old. I’ve been with Objectware for more than a year.

I am a cross-functional Project Manager Officer (6 years experience) for customers in the banking sector.

The PMO works in close collaboration with the Program Director and the managers. He is the entry point and the essential support for the preparation and the follow-up of the budget of one or several projects of different instances and other related tasks.

 

What is a typical day like in your company?

At the beginning of the month, I update my client’s internal tool with the number of days worked by the employees on the current project. I make the slides for the next copil. My day is structured according to the priorities required of me on the project and by the Program Director. In conclusion, there is no such thing as a typical day, you build it according to the priorities of the tasks…so you can prepare your to-do list every night for the next day or the morning but always expect a lot of twists and turns!

 

Are there any pre-requisites for this job?

It is a job that requires above all a strong and very pleasant personality. You must be very sociable, curious and a good listener, and have a good command of computer tools such as Excel and Power Point.
