Introduce yourself in a few words!

Hello, my name is Mickaël Lherminez.

I am 40 years old (sniff) and have many interests, mainly my daughter, music and computer development, new technologies (yes, my computer and my phone are never far away).

I have been a consultant at Objectware since June 2016.

I’ve had the opportunity to grow in our company including taking on the role of trainer and proxy manager, while still doing what I love (technical).

What is a typical day like in your company?

I’m on assignment for one of our customers who works in agile mode.

Therefore, the day revolves around that. I start at 9:00 a.m., I organize my day according to the team’s priorities and meetings.

At 9:15, I can clarify certain points if necessary, just before our daily team meeting.

At 9:30, we have the team meeting until 9:45.

From 9:45 to 10:00, it’s coffee time (yes, otherwise it’s not a good day).

Then from 10:00 am I am ready to conquer the world…

From 10am until the end of the day, I work on my development tasks, I accompany the other developers and I participate in technical or functional decision making meetings (I develop graphical interfaces).

Are there any prerequisites for this job?

For me, the main prerequisite is to love and be passionate about the enormous possibilities offered by the IT profession.

What I prefer in my job is to give life to an application and thus to amplify the life of the users.

In addition to that, my role as Proxy Manager allows me to accompany in proximity a team of junior consultants who wish to develop their skills on the JS part. I can define and implement a career development plan or identify their training needs. My knowledge of the field allows me to accompany them on the small daily worries and to guide them for the good progress of their missions.

But beware, the role of Proxy Manager also means: animating a technical community and organizing “BeerStorming” around a game of pétanque!

A last word for the future attendees?
I hope to have succeeded in communicating a little of my passion to you.

If you are creative and want to participate in the evolution of digital, you are in the right place.

PS: I also hope to see you soon in our offices for the 9:45 am coffee!
